On Friday 16th of February the official ceremony about the establishment of EURCAW Aqua was held in Heraclion, Crete (Gr). The event was co-organised by the Hellenic Ministry of Rural Development and Food and the University of Crete. The European Commissioner for Health & Food Safety Mrs. Stella Kyriakides, was present and described the importance of EURCAW Aqua Center for the economic and social acceptance of aquaculture by the EU citizens. The Commissioner, the Minister Mr. E. Avgenakis and the Regional Governor Mr. S. Arnaoutakis were fully supported and enthusiastic for the establishment of EURCAW Aqua.
